Duties: Management of the economic resources and for its operational and financial performance as well as for its institutional development. Daily management of the operations including planning, financial management, training, product development, marketing and administration. Responsible for compliance with policies, procedures, plans and agreements. Responsible for protection of equity from losses due to mismanagement, fraud, monetary risk and foreign exchange risk. Major Accomplishments: Reorganization of the organization to minimize the operating costs and ensure the growth and development of FINCA Program in South Africa. Duties: Daily operations management including planning, financial management, training, product development, marketing and administration for $8 million USAID-funded microfinance program. Selection and preparation of the local staff to assume key management position for FINCA/Samara program. Major Accomplishments: Succeeded in growing the outstanding loan portfolio from $381K in May ’01 to over $3 mil in March ’03 and the active client base from 820 clients in February ’01 to 2, 504 in March ’03. Expanded the program to eight new towns in Samara region and to neighboring Orenburg and Ulianovsk regions; opened four new satellite offices. Developed and implemented marketing strategy. Developed and diversified Individual Lending Program: - Active Individual Portfolio growth from $6,439 in February ‘01 to $2,282,823 in March ’03; - Active Individual Clientele growth from 12 clients in February ’01 to 1,483 clients in March ’03; - Introduced parallel, seasonal loan products and credit line, and system of discounts for long-term borrowers and clients- recruiters. Developed and implemented sound planning and monitoring systems that helped rapidly increase outstanding portfolio and clientele.
